Title: Seated Woman an homage to Picasso.
Size: 12 x 9 inches
Medium: Ink, Liquitex Acrylic Ink and watercolors on paper
I like to capture moments in my drawings, moments that are quick like when the model is moving or changing poses. I want to have the viewer sense that her movement is happening that it is real and plausible. In this case my model took the same pose as Picasso’s Seated Woman from 1903. This pose evolved out of a conversation with my model about poses in famous works of art.
This mixed media drawing is done on acid-free 140lb Fabriano Studio watercolor paper. The drawing is executed in Rapidograph Ultradraw ink and Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink and Dr. Ph. Martin’s inks and Windsor and Newton watercolors. The work is signed. I provide a certificate of authenticity.
