Artwork Description
In this oil painting entitled “Teapot and sliced avocado” I wanted to reflect a tranquility and peacefulness that I desired to have instead of what was actually going on in my life at that the time it was created. The oil paintings in this series are projected positive moments and emotions. I believe that our thoughts create our lives and that what our mind dwells on actually becomes a reality whether it be positive or negative. The colors transmit hope, joy and happiness. These works are about the transmission of positive energy into an environment and eventually into the world.
These oil paintings speak of gratitude. At one time in my life a prayer of gratitude was said before every meal. At times there wasn’t any food on my table yet I remained grateful for shelter, for warmth and for the kindness of strangers..
