Artwork Description
I found a dress mannequin in the garbage near my studio. It would appear that someone believed that she was at the end of her life as well as her usefulness. I took her into my studio, dismantled her, cleaned her and reassembled her. If you think about the creativity and the seamstresses who once used her to guide them in their dress making over several decades, I could not help but make her a subject for my own creativity.
This work of art is done on 140lb paper. The work is signed on the front by the artist. It comes accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
