For the most part, I appear to have my shit together.  I am successful, in a loving relationship and have a lot of positive going on in my life.  It’s true; I have a lot to be thankful for,

Only recently have I begun to share some of the early episodes of my life.  Quite honestly, I have been terrified to talk about my childhood and my young adulthood.  I had swept a lot of it under the rug, hoping to keep it all compartmentalized and isolated from the life I had built. But I was wrong.

There are triggers, and there are people who have an axe to grind.

I’m the first to admit my imperfections. However, we all got played.

People need to remember the thing about six degrees of separation.  We all know people, who know people, who know the same people, and shit gets around.

The gaslighting has been pretty spectacular, a perfect shitstorm of misleading information, deception and outright lies.

But seriously, who cares?

One of the things I learned in my childhood is that you cannot change what someone believes. The hours and hours spent going door-to-door as a Jehovah’s Witness kid will teach you that. People will think what they want to, but what’s the alternative? Finding out that someone you trusted wasn’t telling you the truth? That your whole life was a lie?

The funny thing about the truth is that it rises to the surface for everyone to see, along with the lies.

There isn’t much you can do about it either,

It’s a waiting game.
