At the beginning of every new year, I look back at the past year to see what improvements could be made in the future. This year is no different.
What I have come to realize is that there are some things that cannot be resolved without the cooperation of others.

Resolving interpersonal relationships requires open-mindedness and a willingness to compromise. Where there is no willingness, there remains only a flicker of hope of resolution.

As an eternal optimist, I do see an eventual reconnection with estranged loved ones. There is this misconception that I do not care. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The truth is that I’ve been muzzled with threats.

It will unfortunately take time, terminal illness, death or a funeral to make it happen.
